About the Role

Build employee benefits relationships with employers in Stockton, CA. Help employers evaluate group health, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit options, then coordinate accurate proposals, enrollment support, and renewals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify employer prospects and understand workforce, contribution, and benefits priorities.
  • Collect and handle employee census and plan information through approved secure processes.
  • Compare plan designs, provider networks, funding arrangements, contributions, and carrier terms.
  • Coordinate implementation, enrollment communications, renewal calendars, and service follow-up.
  • Explain plan information accurately and refer legal, tax, or specialized compliance questions to the appropriate professional.

Qualifications

  • Experience in employee benefits sales, group insurance, employer relationships, or consultative business development.
  • An active Accident and Health, and Life where required license appropriate to the assigned products and jurisdictions. Required appointments, authorizations, and product training must be completed before regulated sales activity.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, document client instructions, safeguard confidential information, and follow agency and carrier procedures.
  • Comfort using an agency management system, email, video meetings, and digital application tools.
  • Ability to serve clients in the advertised market under the work arrangement specified for this opening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with group health and ancillary benefits, carrier proposals, enrollment platforms, or benefits account management.

Work location

This is a remote role serving the Stockton, CA market. The city identifies the recruiting and client-service market; it does not represent a CoreShield office. Product and state authority must be verified before sales activity.

Compensation details

Commission-based independent-contractor opportunity with no base salary. Compensation is based on eligible employer-sponsored group insurance business placed and agency revenue received. Earnings vary with employer account size, enrolled participation, products placed, and retention. Commission rates, renewal eligibility, servicing responsibilities, and payment adjustments are specified in the written agent agreement. Earnings are not guaranteed.

Getting started

Recruiting includes a review of relevant experience and credentials, job-related assessments where assigned, and interviews. New agents follow a documented onboarding and training checklist covering licensing, privacy, agency systems, client discovery, placement procedures, and service standards.
