About the Role

Develop business insurance relationships in Arlington, TX. Lead risk discovery, prepare carrier submissions, explain coverage alternatives, and coordinate placement and renewals. The work covers commercial property, general liability, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, and relevant specialty exposures, including cyber and professional liability.

Responsibilities

  • Build a prospect pipeline through professional relationships, referrals, and consistent follow-up.
  • Document business operations, property, payroll, vehicles, contracts, and loss experience.
  • Prepare accurate submissions and compare carrier terms, exclusions, limits, and deductibles.
  • Explain proposals and document client decisions without promising coverage or binding authority beyond your authorization.
  • Coordinate renewals, certificates, policy changes, and claims reporting with the appropriate service resources.

Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial insurance production, account management, or business development; ability to explain commercial coverage and maintain an organized pipeline.
  • An active Property and Casualty license appropriate to the assigned products and jurisdictions. Required appointments, authorizations, and product training must be completed before regulated sales activity.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, document client instructions, safeguard confidential information, and follow agency and carrier procedures.
  • Comfort using an agency management system, email, video meetings, and digital application tools.
  • Ability to serve clients in the advertised market under the work arrangement specified for this opening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial account experience; relevant industry relationships; CIC, CISR, or CPCU coursework or designation.

Work location

This is a remote role serving the Arlington, TX market. The city identifies the recruiting and client-service market; it does not represent a CoreShield office. Product and state authority must be verified before sales activity.

Compensation details

Commission-based independent-contractor opportunity with no base salary. Compensation is based on eligible commercial insurance business placed and agency revenue received. Earnings vary with account size, coverage mix, production, and retention. Commission rates, renewal eligibility, payment timing, and adjustments for cancellations or returned premiums are specified in the written agent agreement. Earnings are not guaranteed.
