About the Role
Help clients in Providence, RI assess life and health insurance needs. Develop relationships, conduct fact-finding, explain appropriate product options, and coordinate applications and follow-up for life, health, disability, and related protection needs within your authorized scope.
Responsibilities
- Build a pipeline through referrals, outreach, and responsive client service.
- Document protection needs, affordability, existing coverage, and client priorities.
- Explain product features, costs, limitations, underwriting requirements, and relevant alternatives accurately.
- Coordinate applications, underwriting requests, policy delivery, and ongoing service.
- Complete required product training and use approved communications and recordkeeping processes.
Qualifications
- Life or health insurance production, case management, or relevant consultative sales experience.
- An active Life and Accident and Health, as applicable to the products offered license appropriate to the assigned products and jurisdictions. Required appointments, authorizations, and product training must be completed before regulated sales activity.
- Ability to communicate clearly, document client instructions, safeguard confidential information, and follow agency and carrier procedures.
- Comfort using an agency management system, email, video meetings, and digital application tools.
- Ability to serve clients in the advertised market under the work arrangement specified for this opening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with term and permanent life, individual health, disability, or long-term care insurance; applicable product training.

Work location
This is a remote role serving the Providence, RI market. The city identifies the recruiting and client-service market; it does not represent a CoreShield office. Product and state authority must be verified before sales activity.
Compensation details
Commission-based independent-contractor opportunity with no base salary. Compensation is based on eligible life, health, disability, and related insurance business placed and agency revenue received. Rates and payment schedules vary by product and carrier arrangement. Initial commissions, renewal eligibility, and any chargebacks following cancellations, lapses, or returned premiums are specified in the written agent agreement. Earnings are not guaranteed.
Getting started
Recruiting includes a review of relevant experience and credentials, job-related assessments where assigned, and interviews. New agents follow a documented onboarding and training checklist covering licensing, privacy, agency systems, client discovery, placement procedures, and service standards.
